QuickMail could export an appointment as a .ics file but
could not bring one in. Now it can. Choose File → Import
Calendar File (.ics)… (it is also on the Calendar node’s
context menu and in the command palette), pick one or more
.ics files, and the appointments go into the Local
Calendar. QuickMail then shows the calendar with the first
imported appointment selected and tells you how many were imported and
how many were skipped.
The command has no default key; you can assign one in File → Settings → Keyboard Shortcuts.
Moving through the Account list in the Rules Manager said only the account’s name; you heard how many rules it had only by moving on to the rules list. Now each account says its count as you reach it, for example “3 rules.” or “No rules yet.” For a work or school Microsoft 365 account it also says how many are on the server and how many on the client. This is a status announcement, so it follows the Announce status setting, and it waits for the account name rather than cutting it off. If an account’s rules could not be loaded, that is what you hear instead. (#734)
Calendar files from Google and Outlook carry a reminder inside each appointment, and the reminder has its own description (“This is an event reminder”). QuickMail read that as the appointment’s description, so an appointment from such a file lost its real notes. This affected iCloud calendar sync as well as the new import.
