Add My Location (on the main window or the Cities menu) detects your approximate position and adds it as a place. It first asks you to confirm. If precise device location is available and permitted by Windows, that is used; otherwise the app falls back to an IP-based lookup (via ipapi.co) to estimate your city. The detected place is added to your list and selected. If your location cannot be determined, the app says so rather than adding anything.
